Scotland has a wealth of brilliantly rugged scrambles and ridges. Some of the popular classics are:
Curved Ridge on Buachaille Etive Mor, Tower Ridge on Ben Nevis, the famous Aonach Eagach, The Triple Buttresses of Beinn Eighe and Liathach ridge traverse in Torridon to name but a few. However, there are many more less explored, but no less enjoyable, ridges and any other routes and aspirations are always welcome.
So if a big day in the mountains with splendid views and brilliant exposure take your fancy, then get in touch to arrange a date that works for you.
The route of choice will depend of the max ratio possible. For example some hard scrambles are best in 1:2, more moderate ones are possible in 1:3, however for the easiest such as The CMD Arete and Ledge Route on Ben Nevis we can work with 1:4.
Meeting time is usually at 8am in the agreed car park and depending on the route of choice we could be finished between 3pm and 5pm. If you are after a shorter or longer day then there are options available and the guide on the day will be in contact with you a few days prior to the course to make sure you know what's happening.
These times are very approximate and are just to give you a rough idea. The infamous Scottish weather dictates much of what we do and that means we may start later, earlier or even change plans all together in accordance with the forcast.
Alternatively if you would like to experience the thrill of rock climbing and feel the air beneath your feet, but without having to worry about the rope work and decision making, why not be guided up one of Scotland many outstanding routes?
Try a multi-pitch mountain route. Ardverikie Wall, Savage Slit and Agags Groove are just some of Scotlands finest mountain rock routes, however there are many more that you may have long aspired to. If you're feeling very adventurous why not tick off a sea stack?
I am always happy to lend a hand with planning logistics such as recommending places to sleep & eat, so let us know if you need a hand.
